Dr. Coco is a pharmacologist by training with experience in basic science research and is a founding member of the organization. He works as a medical writer in Atlanta, Georgia. He has served as a Board member for 5 years and is a founding member of the organization.
Tamara Heaton-Wyrick M.A., L.L.M.S.W.

Tamara Heaton-Wyrick
Ms. Heaton is a medical anthropologist, licensed mental health therapist, and grant writing expert who has supported the efforts of NeuroSpring since its inception. She is an original founder of NeuroSpring and has directed the operational activities of its internal research programs in the planning stages of the organization.

Grace Montenegro
Ms. Montenegro serves as NeuroSpring Business Manager. She also provides leadership of the computer and electrical engineering projects as a Technical Project Manager. Based in Napa, California, Ms. Montenegro leads the NeuroSpring high school internship program.

Scott Emmer
Mr. Emmer is the Marketing Director for NeuroSpring. Based in New York, he oversees NeuroSpring’s major donor outreach capital campaign and advises on all marketing efforts for the organization.
Jeremy McLamb
Social Media Director
Jeremy McLamb
Mr. McLamb serves as the Social Media Director at NeuroSpring. He has worked in marketing across multiple industries including transportation, insurance, real estate media, video games, and tech for almost a decade. During this time, he also founded a media and entertainment company that he would later take public on the NASDAQ.
Bron Mitchell

Bron Mitchell
Mr. Mitchell works as our lead fundraiser at NeuroSpring. With a focus in digital media production and partnership management, he spent the last decade building programs and events in the tech/game industry.

Renata Barreto Ph.D.
Renata Barreto
Ms. Barreto received her Ph.D., in Jurisprudence and Social Policy from the School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley. Her focus is on medical uses for artificial intelligence. She is a Eugene-Cota Robles Fellowship awardee and Fellow of the American Political Science Association.
Dawn Bielawski Ph.D.
Dawn Bielawski
Dr. Bielawski is a freelance scientific and medical editor and published researcher in the fields of environmental science, pediatrics, and neuroscience. She is a member of the Wayne State University Institutional Review Board, American Medical Writers Association, and Council of Science Editors. She previously served as a NeuroSpring Board member for several years and is a founding member.
Mark Borsody M.D., Ph.D.
Mark Borsody
Dr. Borsody is a practicing neurologist and neurophysiologist. He has more than 20 years of experience in basic and clinical research and 12 years in executive roles in pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Dr. Borsody has previously served as Board member and Secretary for NeuroSpring.
Chisa Yamada M.D.
Chisa Yamada
Dr. Yamada has medical training in both ophthalmology and pathology, and has led NeuroSpring research programs in headache conditions. She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology at the University of Michigan.

Josephine Borsetto
A former NeuroSpring Scholar, Ms. Borsetto is a physiological science major at UCLA and plans to head to medical school after her undergraduate studies. She is passionate about health, fitness, lab work and medicine and loves working for NeuroSpring!

Josephine Bryant B.S.
Ms. Bryant graduated from UC Davis in June 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology. She has always been passionate about behavior and neurodevelopmental research and plans to continue her career in neuroscience research.
Grace Del Carmen M.S.
Grace Del Carmen M.S.
The first NeuroSpring intern, Grace Del Carmen is currently a senior at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She is studying Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in International Affairs. She is currently completing an accelerated degree with a Masters in Bioinformatics with a concentration in Omics. She is also on pre-med track and planning to apply for Medical School after she completes her studies at Northeastern University.
